Dr. Annette Giangiacomo, MD, is departing on a humanitarian mission with Orbis International, an organization dedicated to preventing blindness and treating vision loss in underserved areas. Orbis brings specialized eye care and education to countries where access to these services may be limited.
Dr. Giangiacomo is traveling to Mongolia, where she will work alongside other eye care professionals to perform sight-restoring surgeries and share knowledge that can have a lasting impact on individuals, and communities.
Throughout her journey, Dr. Giangiacomo will be sharing updates on Facebook, and we’re excited to bring you along as she experiences this incredible opportunity to make a difference through the gift of sight.
